SSL Sigma with Coleman Red48

Just thinking out loud with no specific question. Thinking more than one Sigma may be overkill because I wont need post compression automation on all channels. Is anyone here using more than one summing mixer with one feeding another?

Im thinking if I add a Sigma and Red 48 to the folcrom that I already have, I can over time add D/A converters and pretty much be mixing OTB with the exception of post fader ffx sends.

And If I mult the patchbay, I could work that in along the way.

Am I right in thinking that this will end up as a modular console?
