Setting Up a Timeline with Pro Tools & an A800 in 2015

I'm looking to sync my machine to PT to keep my click tracks out of Pro Tools lined up etc and so the dump back is on the grid. I've been eye balling it for the last 5 years, and sometimes the machine drifts a little and isn't perfect! Which is why these were made.

What do I need? A Lynx Timeline 2, Microlynx? How do I connect them? Do I need a Sync IO? I have a pair of Lynx Auroras and clock internally.

You need a sync i/o for PT, TWO lynx timeline modules, preferably a blackburst module (like a Horita) and the appropriate cabling for the A800.

PT becomes master, generates TC which feeds the master Lynx. A800 Lynx slaves to master Lynx. I'm not positive, but I think the micro lynx may work as 2 modules. Not sure. The Horita is a stable clock source for all synchronizers to resolve to. Everything syncs up. :-)

I've got a pair of Lynx's for the right price. Not going to sell them cheap though, cause all the pretty numbers rolling by are more fun than a couple hundred bucks. LOL
