Can you sample-accurate sync two computers using MIDI (MTC) or not?

Here for the gear

Can you sample-accurate sync two computers using MIDI (MTC) or not?

Innerclock claims their external MIDI clock is sample accurate: Twin Laptop Sync using Sync-Gen II | Time Is The Musicians Canvas

MOTU claims MTC sync is only phase accurate and sample accuracy is technically impossible using this protocol: - Phase Accurate versus Sample Accurate Sync

To sync two DAWs perfectly that are running on two different computers do I need to use ADAT or can it be accomplished with MTC? Maybe Innerclock's software can do something that MOTU's can't.
