Dorrough 40-A Useless ?

I got a unused pair of Dorrough 40-A

Any possible practical use of these meters on this loud days?

I have a pair of A2's that I use every day. They're on the meter output of my monitor control.

I love that they give both peak and rms levels so you can see the range you have left.

If the whole loudness thing is a concern for you then I'd say they're more relevant than ever. There are probably plugins which can give you a more accurate reading but it's nice to just have some big meters in the studio that are constantly on.

Use them if you have them, great pieces to have....my friend has several he bought at an estate sale. Wish I had the spare budget for a pair....

Use a pair here, every day.
Also have a 6 channel Wohler meter patchable to whatever I want to monitor.
Indispensable!
