Here for the gear

All you need is a computer, 1 software program you know really well, instrument or instruments that inspire (real and or virtual), mixer, headphones, mics and good ears. The rest is an overkill and completely unnecessary. Bad tradesman blame their tools. My Grandfather hand crafted the most beautiful furniture and I'm sure he didn't have every tool known to man, he was too poor for that.

If you only have one ear, you could still make it work.. That's all you need. The rest is an overkill and completely unnecessary. Bad tradesman blame their tools. Set it all up, so that you can operate a session comfortably. I have a DM2000 in my place and get around on this desk just fine. However I mostly use it as transport and control surface over HUI for Pro Tools.

I would say as with any new/used purchase goes, work with the gear for a while. Keep on, keep'n on, growing up your spot with business // Sell whatever you don't require, nor use, in order to re purpose your investment back into your business.

It looks like there are some specific things that you may not need for your spot, as I would guess you don't work or create exactly like the previous owner of this hardware.

Good luck!
