What happened to the (planned) AMS Neve 1073R?

What happened to the planned AMS Neve 1073R?

Was that shelved in favor of the new 1073DPX?

http://www.peterduncan.com/frames/88rsp_flyer.pdf

"The revered 1073 mic amp has now been added to the 88R remote mic amp range. The 1073 is a discreet class A design with a very warm but precise sound. It has a thirty year heritage as a mic pre renowned for its particularly fine sound on vocals and guitars. This complements the Air’s fabulous reputation as an orchestral recording mic pre and the 1081’s as a wonderful drum pre. All three are fully controlled from the Neve 88R."

Apparently it was either extremely short-lived or never was released.

Is there any more info on this? I honestly would love a 1073R.

Also expanding the 40xx range doesn't seem like a bad idea either.

A Toob pre?

What are all these dead AMS products? Have they been all replaced by the 1073DPX??

The red knob preamps are the 1081R's, sadly not the 1073R's.

The blue knob preamps are the AIR Monserrat preamps, denoted as the 1081R 'AIR'.

Strangely though it has been listed with the 1073's everywhere!

Here is an example:

"This system consists of a micro processor controlled 12 way rack and a choice of three mic pre-amplifiers, the 1081, 1073 and Air Montserrat (from the vintage Air Montserrat console). By selecting a combination of these three mic pre-amp designs, engineers have the flexibility to record classical music, pop, rock and roll or any required sound."

Well it seems that the J/D is still being sold (at least at VK).
