Where the console will end when it is finished is not fixed yet. There were some possibilities and some calculations to see what will make sense but till now there is no fixed plan. It is also to early to make a determination - the console has to be finshed and running for some days/weeks to see if all is working as it should.

Some frame dirt, the consoles colour is yellow and not grey!!!!!

More yellow but still needs some polishing to make the original colour come back

No, at the moment is non of the modules for sale. Maybe when the console is finished and a bigger amount of the sparemodules is not needed.

We'll do it.

Do you have an idea about the consumption of this board at 100% running?

Its a little bit hard to calculate the power consumption of the console 100% because the specifications for the PSU´s are only for 100% load and the definations for the different PSU´s are different. In reality the used PSU´s are running at about 80% load and the spear PSU´s are running "free-wheel" at ?? load.

A more or less good calculation says 1722 Watt at 230V/50Hz. For the lightmeters and the lightmeteramps (Decca built) I have not specification sheet. Extra also the inbuilt tablelight,.............. So all together should be about 2000W @230V/50Hz. This is not much, our electrical heater in the bathroom is also 2000W

In Austria it is runnable from one standard powersocket/fuse, but the inrush current at "power on" switching could make a problem and could kill the power outlet fuse.

Wow, nearly one year since my last post on the Decca WSW console. We had a very hard but also very exciting year. We bought, partly repaired and partly moved into a new/old company building. At the moment we are working to finish more and more rooms to be able to move completely into the new building.

Because of this there was very less time for the work on the console. I have done some work on the frame-cableing which is more work than I expected. I have finished the audiocable-connections from the left to the right frame, I have done it with Siemens multipin connectors to make the frame easy splitable for transport and controlroom installation - counting up to about 400 cableends which I have soldered.

Next step are the logiccable-connections from left to right. This will be a little less work than the audiocables, the logiccables and connectors a on the bench and ready for start.
I have also finished the plan how to build the frame/furniture for the PSU´s, material for this is also already here. In Sofiensäle Studio they were screwed into a biiiiiiiiiig cupboard but I only have the technical frontframe - the furniture itself stayed in the original studio in the 70-ies so I have tu build a new one.

Thanks to all the readers and followers. The console will go on,...

This is a good question, I dont know. I have marked my "gearslutz albums" as visible to "everyone" but I also can not see it when I´m not logged in. Maybe someone else know how to get exess to album that should be open to everone.

The most importate tool in a console: the telephone

One of the finest EQ´s you can find, Decca developed and mainly used in their mastering consoles

The optical part of the console is nearly finished! The technical part of the frame will take further work.
