Excellent read!

I did read a bit when you first posted it. Back then (ironically) I had only a mild case of tinnitus from time to time....

Now it's chronic. But since I had done this to myself with audio abuse and taken full responsibility along the line and being prepared it didn't depressed me yet (I have it for about a month and a half).

Still I can't sit in a quiet room without focusing on it.

Luckily my trusty iPhone with whitenoise is the cure for now when I go to sleep in quieter places.

Strange thing happened. After some events (with louder levels) the tinnitus is practically gone... even if I do use some sort of protection on that ear.

Alas I lost some crispiness in that particular ear and bass frequencies from PA are rumbling the eardrum like crazy when I don't wear protection. But I still feel lucky that I can work at lower levels on my monitors.

Maybe this is the cue for a healthier life (I sleep and eat disorderly with less and less going outdoors...) so I'm planning to make the tinnitus a part of my life and a push to take care of myself better!

My best wishes to any good folks out there suffering (tinnitus or not)!
