List of plugins not working on Harrison Mixbus

I'm starting this thread to help Mixbus users know which plugins work and don't work with it. Some plugins refuse to work since version 2.1. Version 2.3 is now out but Harrison doesn't seem to care too much about fixing it. I'll try to update the list often.

PC:
IK Multimedia 670 Compressor - Windows 7 64bit (Crashed Mixbus)
IK Multimedia CS Classic EQ - Windows 7 64bit (Crashed Mixbus)
IK Multimedia Black 76 and White 2A - Windows 7 64bit and Windows XP 32bit (Crashed Mixbus)
IK Multimedia ARC System - Windows 7 64bit (Crashed Mixbus)
Soundtoys Radiator - Windows 7 64bit (Freezes Mixbus GUI)
Soundtoys Little Radiator - Windows 64 bit (Freezes Mixbus GUI)
Audio Damage RoughRider - Windows 7 64bit (Plugin's GUI is white sometimes)
Analog in The Box W735EQ - Windows 7 64bit (Crashed Mixbus)
CDSoundMaster Nice EQ - Windows 7 64bit (Crashed Mixbus)
CDSoundMaster N-Ten-AT4 - Windows 7 64bit (Not detected)
Acustica Audio Acquavox - Windows 7 64bit (Not detected)
Softube Summit Grand Channel - Windows 7 64bit (Not detected)
Softube Tubetech CL1B - Windows 7 64bit (Not detected)
Softube Trident A-Range - Windows 7 64bit (Not detected)
Softube FET comp - Windows 7 64bit (Not detected)
Softube Tube Delay - Windows 7 64bit (Not detected)
Softube TSAR - Windows 7 64bit (Not detected)
Softube Spring reverb - Windows 7 64bit (Not detected)
Softube Active Passive EQ - Windows 7 64bit (Not detected)

MAC:
Soundtoys Little MicroShift - OS X 10.6.8 (Plug-in's GUI is partly grey and frozen, but it doesn't freeze Mixbus or make it crash)
Waves REDD - OS X 10.8.4 (Missing the knobs in the GUI)
Soundtoys Little Radiator - OS X 10.8.4 (Crashed Mixbus)
Soundtoys Little Microshift - OS X 10.8.4 (Crashed Mixbus)
Slate Digital VTM - OS X 10.8.4 (Freezes Mixbus)

Some other plugins sometimes freeze or crash, sometimes don't. It's completely random.

Of course they don't work, Mixbus is 32bit, and they don't see a need to become 64bit because Mixbus doesn't support virtual instruments.

The plugins i (try to) use are 32bit
They work very well on any other 32bit DAW i use, even on Windows 64bit.

The IK plugs work on my system, but I'm on Mac OSX.

Have you tried the new version announced yesterday?

I was going to say the same thing. I've only used Mixbus (2.2) on OS X (Mountain Lion)

Hey Peter. I think this is only Windows related. Can you please check Ticket ID #636324 i've sent a loooooong time ago? Neither IK or Harrison want to solve the problem. It's a shame.

Yes, they are looking into it. I can't even casually check because I'm away from my main Windows setup for unforeseen reasons/issues. Thanks!

Hey there...

also, IK's Black 76 and White 2A don't work....was also hoping the 2.3 update would resolve it, but to no avail...Interestingly I can instantiate and even choose presets... but the moment i touch a dial I get a runtime c++ error and Mixbus crashes...this happens on both my Windows 7 64bit and Windows XP 32bit systems...

Ik's Ampeg SVX works perfectly though...

Please Peter (Dont let me beg, its embarrassing :-)) It would be wonderful to have those plugins working in Mixbus!!

Hi Peter ,i'm doing a serious check with a Soul 25 tracks export to feel the Harrison model emulation, but my studio enviroment is correct by ARC 2.1 plug in.I would insert in the Mixbus master and it refuse to scan this plug.Is that a konw ARC issue with Mixbus?
Can you give some info?
Best regards

I'm trying the demo and I really like the way it sounds, particularly eq which is quite special imo. Compressors and tape saturation are also very usable and the general tone is so smooth and analogue-like. Probably the best sounding software engine I've ever tried. Seems easy to learn, I could see myself mixing all my personal projects in Mixbus when the bugs get ironed out - because yeah, it is quite buggy.

I have no idea, that really is something to consult Tech Support on. They will look at it: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/support

I think every VST based on Acustica Audio Acqua engine won't work.

Here, on Mac OSX 10.6.8 and Mixbus 2.3.1, IK ARC 2 works fine, as well as IK Black 76 and White 2A.

All of the SoundToys I've got (EchoBoy, Decapitator, Radiator, Devil-Loc Deluxe) work fine also, but not Little MicroShift.

Reverb and delay plug-ins that work fine : Altiverb 7, Exponential Audio Phoenix, all the Valhalla DSP, Eastwest QL Space, Waves H-Delay, Nomad Factory Echoes.

Other plug-ins that work fine : Klanghelm VUMT, 112dB Redline Monitor, DMG Audio EQuality, Studio Devil Virtual Guitar Amp II and Virtual Bass Amp.

The problem is that the plug-in's GUI is partly grey and frozen (but it doesn't freeze Mixbus or make it crash).

Overtone DSP FC70 (Fairchild 670 emulation) ...VU meters don"t work at all. Actually don't think there is any compression happening either... Plugin works great in Reaper. In Reaper i can turn the dials and i hear lots happening. With Mixbus only volume increases.

Waves Supertap and Renaissance Channel work fine.

I've been having trouble with Decapitator freezing and not retaining settings on osx. Any one else having this problem?

Update! I read on another forum to open the program, close the window then open it again. Works for the freezing part, settings do dissappear after closing. Soundtoys said it was an automation thing. Anyway try that trick if you're having trouble..

Hi, need your help. Have just moved from PC to MAC. My workflow is Reason bounce to Mixbus. On PC my Valhalla VintageVerb and UberMod fine... But now with my new Macbook pro Retina I get a white noice in the back when load the Valhalla plugins. They are in AU format. Can you please help me... The mix fader on the plugins controls the level of the noice...
