Replacing a 6.3 Volt cap w/ a 10 Volt- Okay? (electrolytic)
That pretty much says it.
Same Uf value, but increased voltage from 6.3 to 10.

I've heard people say not to increase the voltage of an electrolytic more than about 15 or 20 percent.
6.3 to 10 would be more than that, but the voltage is so low, maybe it's okay?

BTW, it's in a preamp circuit.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. I don't know of any "15 to 20 percent rule", since the tolerance of a new cap itself is typically +/- 20%.
