Noisy Trident VFM

I bought the desk a few days ago. It's a 16x8x2 configuration and is modular. The other day, while cleaning out the desk, I accidentally plugged the master module in incorrectly and turned on the desk. Silly, I know! Anyway, it's too late to undo it now but I am left with a high pitched drone.
The master section seems to be fairly quiet by itself but becomes noisy with two or more channels added. When the channels are added however, the noise seems to come in and out if you physically move the master module around! I don't understand at all. The sound seems to even be coming from the pre-amps. I'm thinking this is an issue with the power supply as it is the consistent connection between each module. Any thoughts? Cheers!

Lives for gear

Hi
Time to get a multimeter out and find which bit of circuitry is not powered correctly (power rail 'fuse' resistor blown), or has been 'killed'.
