I'm just making sure I have the right kind of phasing going on here, as in latency related, rather than polarity related.
The connection in a jack (such as the one on the Rumour) that corresponds with the incoming tip of a TRS isn't ever actually a cold (or down) connection is it? (While the sleeve would be the hot.)
I know some wierdos like Otari like to wire their decks so that pin 3 was hot on the XLR, but you wouldn't ever see the equivelant with a TRS jack would you?
