CAPS for CADAC console restoration

in the process of restoring a nice old cadac board i have some questions about caps...

are there any elco-brands you could recomend or some you would avoid. the ones in the modules now are from phillips ( the blue ones on the photo) dont know if they are able to get today, these modules are 20-30 years old now.

Digi Key sells the phillips axial caps, but better choices are available. Consider a roll of teflon insulation and use radial caps if they clear. If you don't want to do this again, use either Nichicon HE series or Panasonic FM series. Put some teflon insulation on the leads to avoid pcb shorts. These very low impedance caps also sound clearer than the old Phillips 85 degree caps. Also consider replacing the red Wima mylar caps with their polypropylene film caps.

Hi
I believe www.farnellinone.co.uk have a German outlet and they have various types of caps on offer including the phillips types.

Was that a joke?

If so, it was well placed!

How went the restoration?
