Glyn Johns

Hi, apart from the famed Glyn Johns drum mic'ing technique, were there any other noticeable methods that he used in the studio?

Thanks

He says he was really into trying to have the same setup out in the studio that the band used on stage. He really liked the big Olympic room for that reason. He's also seriously not into compressing drums.

his son Ethan is a chip off the ol block in that regard..it works great for a certain style of music where there is space for a non smashed kit.thumbsup

it works well in those 'rare' instances when people want something really incredibly well recorded.

Nice to meet you. Thx for the info so far, great help.
And how about keys? I was particularly interested in the track 'I Got The' by Labi Siffre, getting a track together - in the style of Glyn.

I actually preferred a lot of Andys work over Glyns. No disrespect to Glyn of course, just my preference.
