Grounding point

I'm making a connector box between my Hammond and Leslie. The box is small, made of metal. I'm using a relay inside, and if I'm not mistaken I need a ground for the tail-end of the relay coil. Can this just be soldered to a screw in the metal box? The relay will switch with 120VAC, won't that be pumping through the relay coil? I don't want to get shocked or burn out the stuff mounted on the box.
