Stereovolume controller

I have a Yamaha Stagepas 300 that i have feeling, though the recording plugs to a TASCAM DR05. Even with the TASCAM's input at it's lowest the LED light shows overmodulation at times which make me think that i need a volume controller between the two aparatus.

Can anybody give ideas or a circuit for one of these, I am an electronic DIYer so will attmpt anthing (parts being available downunder that is).

If your Tascam has an input pad, try engaging it. Or you could build or buy an in-line pad to connect between the Yamaha and the Tascam.

Uneeda Audio - Build your own attenuator pads

Hope that helps. Paul

get a level pilot. or create a divider using a dual ganged pot or 4 resistors. snoop around you should be able to figure this out. make sure the impedances are right. there should be ideas in handbook for sound engineers
