Source for fader "knobs"

Fader knobs are not really a knob but I don't what else to call them.

I have an Old AH System 8 Mark I 16/8. I replaced all the faders but the old knobs don't fit on the fader stems..Same basic fader but different stem set up...I'll try to post a few pics later but Im trying to source out a few places that sell these things..

Audio Maintenance

Colin at Audio Maintenance is a top shelf guy and also carries P&G fader knobs.

Audio Maintenance Limited P&G Fader Knobs

AFAIK, fader knob is the correct terminology!

tTanks guys. Unfortunately, the Mark I System 8's had Tsubame (TBM) faders as stock. The move to P&G was, I believe, in the MarkII..P&G doesn't make 90mm or I would have installed those. These Tsubame seem pretty stripped down and cheesy, They're working fine but don't inspire a whole lot of confidence.

Anyone have any info on Tsubame faders, background, quality?, just curious

Try searching for "slide control knob."

Fader knobs tend to come in three flavours depending on the tab sticking out of the fader:
  • 4mm
  • 8mm
  • T-bar
P&G tend to use the large T-bar tabs. Not sure about those TBM faders but my 2416 MkII it has 100m Alps faders with 8mm tabs. I just recently bought a full set of new fader knobs from Farnell here in the UK as part of my mixer's rebuild.

Cheers,
Neil
