Question How to open a Blue Baby bottle

I'm no stranger to opening up microphones but the Baby bottle is a real puzzle.

Anyone here know the secret ?

I'm guessing one end cap is a very tight push fit or that the XLR end is two parts that have been threadlocked.

Man, this thing don't give up it's secrets easy.

There are very small grub screws holding the end caps in place. Don't twist, or you may crack the internal pcb.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply
If only it were that simple my friend.
As far as I know there are 3 versions.
Mine is the middle one as far as I can tell, when still made in Latvia.
No little grub screws to be seen (other than the usual one to secure the XLR)
If there were any screws to be seen, no matter how small, this thing would have been apart a long time ago.

The endcap at the plug end apears to be attached to the board (by taking the XLR out and looking in) but the capsule end endcap will rotate but is not threaded.

It's driving me nuts, guess I'll try forcing the top off (capsule removed first of course).

Lives for gear

The bottom cap screws into the body and is glued with thread lock, IIRC. Next to impossible to open without screwing it up. Maybe some heat and leather strap wrenches would do the trick.

Thank you for that piece of vital info Tom

Now I know it's just threadlock, solvent and strap wrench should do it.

Thanks again,
Simon
