Apogee DA16X Problem, need some quick help....

Hi All,

I fired up the PT rig today for a session and our DA16X (with XHD Card) would not allow any input via the front panel buttons. After trying several time to boot the unit up in "reset" mode we have ended up with nothing but zeros on the display (were the freq should be).

The front panel buttons seem to do nothing at all......

I cannot get the unit to boot into the "firmware update" mode to even try and re-install the firmare.

Has anyone out there had a similar problem? As it is the weekend there is no support available from Apogee and we are stuck.

Any insight would be a great help. I am wondering if there is some way to "factory reset" the unit via internal jumpers and then re-install the firmware.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Jim

Hi,

As I was reading your post, we received your call in Apogee Support.

The symptom you're describing could be due to anything from a faulty clock cable, inadvertantly entering "Update" mode, or something having to due with the programming of the unit. In any case, I'm sure Support can resolve your problem fairly painlessly.

Thanks Roger,

I spoke with support today and a replacement E-Prom is being sent overnight.
Thanks for the quick support (although a weekend desk might be a nice touch.....)

Regards,

Jim
