Nearfield/midfield monitors..weird questions that cant find the answer

I mix for 2 years now
i finally opened my dream studio
after a lot of research of course i baught some nearfield and midfield monitors
yamaha ns10's amd klein+hummel o300d
i must say they blend pretty awesome

weird question though
i never got it if all the engineers have the two monitor pairs on all the time during the mix
or if they play along with the monitors
should i mix with both or should mix a little with the ns10 then bypass them and turn on the klein+hummel and then again the ns10 and so on...
I find that they blend pretty nice..but i find even better to start mixing with the ns 10's and when i have a pretty good mix
then i bypass them and turn on the klein+hummel to get rid of some low frequencies and then again with the ns 10 to find the perfect balance between then..and in the final i put them both on and do my final touches..

What do you think?i was searching for this every where and didnt get a clear answer if the producers/engineers have both nearfield and midfield monitors all the time on or the switch from one to the other during the mix

Lives for gear

One pair at a time, Cap - If your midfields are farther away from your ears than the nearfields, you're creating a serious time smear and plenty of phase weirdness, too.
Even if they're on top or next to each other, you're creating a freakish polar pattern in addition to phase weirdness. I'm sure it sounds "full" and "good", but not accurate - which is what you're after. Cheers! JR
