Yamaha Rev7 malfunction?

I wasn’t quite sure where to post this but this forum seems like one of the most knowledgeable.
I just recently received a used Yamaha REV7 reverberator, but no matter how many different ways I try to route audio into it i can’t get the machine to work. I’m fairly new to hardware, but I’d say i’m usually bright enough to figure things out... I’ve tried interface output (stereo and mono) to REV7 and then xlr back into interface inputs.. i’ve tried going mic to REV7 to interface, no matter what I do i only get dry, noisy (very noisy) signal coming through but only on the right side.. Left is complete static. However when i bypass through the REV7 I get clean dry signal back.

Anyways I was just wondering if there is anything I’m missing or overlooking before I have some words with the person I picked it up from lol.

Check the power supply rails first.
