Mackie CR1604 fader half way functional

Hey there,
long time lurker, first post :-)
I scored a pretty beat up Mackie CR1604 which is showing strange behaviour on three channels after bringing it back to life.
On these channels the fader works as expected in the first half, but it gets not any louder after that. Already measured the fader, resistance goes up like any other channel.
From looking at the schematics i don't get what could be the problem.
Is that a known problem?
Would be great if you had any tips what i should be looking for.
Thanks!

For anybody interested: turned out the fader pot's conductive track shows heavy wear at unity position (half way) thus resulting in Infinite resistance in the upper half.
Due to the mixer's schematic this also resulty in unity gain.
Decided to leave it as is for now, because finding replacement pots is quite hard/expensive and exchanging them isn't that easy, too
