Looks way more complicated than Ford's design for a blower-fan-based unit...

Looks like, at least, if there is a couple family members to take turns squeezing the bag, there will be a way to survive this.

Not that I don't appreciate the humor of your post...

...But this could save a lotta lives.

I was serious about manual intubation by family members on shifts... If it gets that bad.

That's wonderful!

The only problem is that these machines will then have to be manufactured and shipped all over the planet.

The MIT project is about building them from stuff that has already been shipped to your local area.

(The other problem is that medical devices are illegal (in most jurisdictions) without "official approval" from some government agency.)
