Would an INA 163 opamp make a good microphone preamplifier?

Hey guys, I'm delving into making my own simple microphone preamp for my rode m1 and I am heavily invested into books like douglas self's small signal audio and whatnot.

What are your opinions of the INA 163? Would it make for an effective amplifier of which I could actually record with/use xlr microphones with?

This is my first DIY audio project and I was wondering if my research looking for non-discrete component amplifiers would help me in this regard.

Texas instruments .pdf of the INA 163 (I'll link here) has an example preamp schematic if someone would want to give me some good tips/pointers.

Thanks y'all! ~ Sal

Lives for gear

Yes the chip would be good.
Also look at THAT Corp. the have chips and circuits optimized for mic pre-amps.

It was good enough for Grace Design. Their earlier versions used the older INA103. It's a mic pre on a chip like the SSM2015, SSM2016, SSM2017, SSM2019, INA217, that1510, etc.
