Memory battery Eventide Orville

I own a brand new Eventide Orville (old stock) and intended to use it again.
When it boots it says it is a DSP7000 (!!), and get the message "I sense that the internal RAM is new. Do you wish the internal ram to be cleared and formatted ?"
Pressing the YES returns with a message REMOTE OPERATION ONLY.
I suspected the memory battery and with the Orville powered on, I took the Panasonic BR2330 battery out and it appears to be less than 0,2VDC.
How can I get the Orville to be an operating great Orville again ??

Thanks !

Put in a new battery and then see what happens. If it is truly NOS, the battery will be well gone.

Hi,
Today I have been at a professional repair shop and they have fixed my problem !
I have a fully functioning Orville again !!
It appeared that several places showed quite bad soldering work and the repair guy has removed, cleaned an re-soldered several parts.
They are specialised in repairing professional digital equipment and have all necessary de-soldering and soldering equipment available. Piece of cake for them...
For me it works again ! So happy !!!

Done:
U106 removed from socket, socket removed completely, U106 soldered directly on motherboard.
Also bad soldering seen (and corrected) in the flash chips area (U300 - U303).
After this work (piece of cake with the right tools...) the Orvile is an Orville again !

You are right: Eventide does not support the Orville and does not care anymore.
Must be a strange company policy, because I know companies that still support their professional products made more than 50 years ago.
And make schematics/service manuals available.

I have sent you a p.m. !
