Sturdy Ethernet connector for headphone system

Hey all,

I've got a furman system, which uses 2 ethernet cords. The cords hang off the units, stressing the cable. They also fit a bit lightly in the unit (too much play when plugged in). Does anyone know of some heavy duty ends and/or stress relief that will last with this system?

You could fasten a strain relief by adding adhesive cable tie mounts (approx. 1" square) and cable ties. Leave a slight loop between the cable tie and the connector so the connector won't be stressed if the cable is tugged on.

The only heavy duty ends I know of are the Neutrik Ethercon (rj45 in an XLR shell) but you'd need to install the corresponding jacks to plug them into. Otherwise zip tying them like David said is your only option

Check out Belden's REVConnect ethernet connectors.
