DPA 406x mics, what capsules are used?

Are they made by B&K/DPA or are they something else? The specs and size seem to be in line with electret capsules, ala Panasonic..

Anyone have info?

IIRC,

B & K still builds and supplies the capsules to DPA - you can research this to verify, but I recall seeing this somewhere on DPA's site - maybe under the "history" tab?

BTW, I own a pr. of 4060's, and they sound damn good, but noisy by my standards...

Thanks. I read noisy, small, detailed and that describes the tiny back electrets exactly!
