IMO yes, but I'm biased, 'cos I can walk there heh

Still, they have way more microbrews on tap and the ones I've tried have been very good. It's my new fav bar.

The Verdugo is still cool though, especially for you! Yet you can still walk to Barbarella too

If you get a chance, try drums through the 351.

It's fun through the 660's too (room).

Yeah it is.
Although I was surprised when I compared it to the Massey and Frindle DSM plugs
they're really good too.especially the Frindle.
they all sound/work just a little different and actually some work better on diff vox.
cool to have all three

They're the Abbey Road EMI Modded Altec Rs124's.
completely gutted the original 436's save for the peerless trannies and tube sockets.
all hand wired and the components are candy store beautiful inside.
Abbey road had em alongside the 660's in studio 2 in "those" days
Most Beatles guitars and I'm told all Bass tracks as well as all reduction/bounces went through em.
sick on vocals and drums too.funky,cool.not like anything else I've heard.

Yes they are.I did a pretty thorough a/b comparison w/ the real deal and very few could guess which was which.
pretty trippy, considering there's practically nothing inside those modules

That part makes my head spin.

Imagine what those minds could do designing a console? They've already done the R&D for the 660, tape and Pultec. Amels has his Helios pre out (but I think he uses NOS trannys?), plus what every else they come up with, could be something that is unlike anything out there

Yet I probably couldn't afford it

Ive got both here.
the lex is good too.
the Bricasti is just the most natural open sounding artificial verb I've ever heard
yesterday I had it side by side with a tricked out 140 and it just fvcking killed.

OSA Preamps

Hi all - great topics in this forum. I'm still just a hobbyist, but I'm getting sluttier every day...I appreciate all of the great insight.

If any of you end up down in Orlando, I'll show you a great beer bar here called redlight redlight. Fantastic options on tap (including the Alagash White a lot of the time) and about 100 bottles.

I recently acquired this pair of OSAs on eBay, in fact, I don't even have them yet...They are prior to the MP-1 standardization. Anyone seen anything like these?

Seller described them as "the original OSA pre's with vintage output transformers and Beyer mic input transformers"
