Interesting... my Auditronics 501 has quad output busses and I've been trying to think of a practical use for the unused 2.
This sounds like a cool idea but I think having to set the pans for each of the A/B individually per channel might be a pain, I'd want the identical mix sent to both. Did you make it so that they both feed from the front set of panpots?

there is about 5pounds of silver solder in there.
new big hunking power and ground buss in there.
re chipped thru out.
several gain stages have been added for example,
monitor section can be used and dump into buss while big fader is in line.
quad buss has been broken out into two stereo busses.
both have been made discreet.
one pair is neve.
the other pair is 990 jensen.
they can run parallel with each other or either can serially dump into

various flavors of mic transformer and line transformer
from neve lundahl jensen and UTC.
the fader has been moved post EQ.
the EQ has been re worked and has additional frequencies.
lots of patch bay has been added.
punch block removed.
converted to elco.
tuchels have been removed.
and on it goes.
i'm hoping to get it done before the music business goes out of business i.e. very soon
Sweet Mary, that's going to sound great eventually. Can I hear it when its ready? I'll even throw a party to which you'll be invited...

no, you select them.
so it ate up 4 busses to do it.
that way,as an example, if you want your drums to go thru the neve but everything else thru jensen/990, you have that parallel option.
or smash something and color it and dump it into the cleaner side you have the serial option blah blah blah etc ad nauseum.....

Well, the Peroni was fine, but the vodka/Red Bull/mint leaf disaster took out the wife. She's hurting today. Lightweight.

Never understood the Red bull thing tutt

But a combo that is surprisingly good was Capt. Morgan + Hansen's Root beer. Tried it when I was out of Coke and I like it better than Coke now

Can't be the first time that's been mixed?

Just make sure it's not a sweet root beer....Hanson's (can) ain't bad, it uses cane sugar, no corn syrup.

I tried it on my girlfriend who's a big rum/coke fan and she will never go back to rum/coke she says....and she won't come over unless I have capt. & Hanson's RB in stock.....hmmmm, guess I'm not that appealing to her anymore

damn!
modding MCI consoles and talking about hard liquor... this might be the coolest thread ever.

I'm not sure I completely understand breaking out the quad buss, if someone documented the schematic for that, I'd love to see it.

I thought about doing that on one of my MCI 500 consoles, using the front/back pan knob as sort of a infinite variable mix....

Ahhh hell, I dunno, I just love the thought of it though! Unless someone has a huge calling for "QUAD SOUND" the quad buss needs to be modded to something more useful!!!!

Although I did have some fun pulling down some old 70's QUADRAPHONIC mixes and listening to them... goooooood stuff!!!!

And I started in on Canadian Whiskey and Sweet and Sour awhile back.... I decided to stop drinking Coke/Pepsi stuff and needed an alternative...

I'm all for throwing down some Rum/Root Beer concocctions though, sounds good!!!!

I've got some info, the new barbarella bar (old zen sushi club) is Amazing. about 25 microbrews OnTap. They have a wall of taps. You can order a sampler, 3 different half size beers of your choice. One of my new favorites is the Allagash white. It's a yeasty/hefe type beer with citrus'y flav, a little sweet ...very refreshing, probably perfect for summer time, but I love it now anyway

The bar has like 50 stools....very large bar, very very cool.

Happy hour is 4-7pm.

Very nice owners/managers/bartenders...they already know me by name now, which they better since it only takes me 4 mins to walk thereheh

Alright kids I'm drinking a rum and root beer, and I'm diggin it!!!
That root beer really masks the booze, so you can load up on it and get nice and warm!
