Am I the only one who loves certain alcoholic drinks that my friends deem "womanly"? For example, major fan of Smirnoff Ice and WKD Blue here, but I hate beer. With a passion. Same percentage even though Ice and WKD are deemed "womanly". WTF? Any drinks you like that are deemed womanly?

Drink some Jameson.

It is when you distill it.

But after that it is usually called 'whiskey'.

heh

I'm not a fan of beer, I generally drink whiskey but I'll admit I am partial to a Smirnoff Ice or a Red WKD from time to time heh

Smirnoff Ice is slightly "metro-alcohol" if you don't mind me saying so....

It makes people want to get up off their chrome bar stools and hit the dancefloor.

Also at $3 for a liter of Smirnoff Ice you can't really argue with that. Sure its not the manliest drink, but who needs to be manly when you can be cheap

Holy crap, I pay the equiv. of 3 bucks for a 25cl bottle. I mean... IF I ACTUALLY WAS a Smirnoff Ice drinker, that's what I would pay. Hehe...whew.

We should start a club where get together and not drink it in front of anyone.

You do know the very word whiskey is an extraction from the Irish language?

THAT is crossing the line. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm just sayin'. Line's been crossed. You're officially a line crosser.

Does it mean you only drink it on Paris metro? (slightly, of course?)

Im originally from Scotland and in Scotland its spelled whisky.

Its an oxymoron because irish whisky is terrible. Scotch or Canadian Rye is the only stuff worth drinking IMO.

I wouldn't say so, I've always thought of Tia Maria as girly though which begs the question; If I put Whiskey in Smirnoff Ice... Do they cancel each other out?

I have a few scottish friends here, oddly enough none of them can stand Scotch.
They very much prefer something like Knob Creek and Woodford Reserve or
Makers Mark and JD at a push.
The people who drink single malt Scotch in the UK tend to be english IME.
In fact you are the first scotch-drinking Scot I've come across in 25 years.

The only acceptable reason for drinking an ICE is if a bro presents it to you. Like so.

Gotta say though, the OP has a point to an extent. Love me some Gin and Apple Juice, but I get funny looks from the bartender whenever I order it.

"Snoop Dogg" this, "really tasty!" that... they never believe me! tutt

You wouldn't want to say that to their faces unless you actually like hospital food! It's all Celtic.
