I'm a dad, and I make apps. And since it's in line with the topic of this thread, I guess I can spam a link.

Anyone learning, or that already speaks a second language should check it out:

A bit of everything

During the day, I work for an MSP providing tech support. In the past I have worked as a recording engineer, assistant A&R for a record label, media assistant, acoustical consultation for businesses and restaurants, studio/ gear consultation, freelance IT for media and you just about name it. I tour with a band, just not as much, so I've gone from hustling to consistency.

I kill for money.
No, just kidding, I'm an artist.

I do funny designs based on living plants, but mostly I earn a living with illustration.

If you ever need an album cover which is painted (something like old school record covers... 70s-80s stuff.. prog rock, old disco and alike), you could pay me with some analog gear.

Btw - really cool thread, like it.
Never expected so great professional diversity of GS people. Fish biologists..? Haha cool!

Another IT specialist here. Working on infrastructure things... spent the last three years on the road, high performance computing and storage systems. Now moving to R&D, which is more like a 9-to-5 job. Giving me back a private life, and more time for music related stuff.

Interesting thread, btw

You won't be able to get sponsored for a US work visa without a full time professional position lined up.

Yes, the immigration situation in the US is extremely contentious, and won't likely improve any time soon.

What type of job position is "computer service/networking jerkface"?

What type of work does that job entail? Just curious.
