Great song and really great sax solo. I love the build up to the sax solo.

Ha..no,, neither. But that song probably had a big motivating impact on me just in terms of wanting to get into music at that time, along with lot's of the other stuff of the day. But I heard that song the other day on the radio in my car, and I thought to myself..yeah,, great song!...and the story is emblematic of mundane day to day life....made me remember the old saying "don't quit your day job" which i ended up doing before i went on my little odyssey. And yes,,the dynamic leading up to the sax bridge is part of what makes that song really special.

There's a great many people like this guy (I include myself in this comment) - likewise, and it wouldn't surprise me if others feel the same way: one of the KEY things is that it isn't shouted about (wouldn't last 5 mins in a studio otherwise, for example)

However, I would like to offer my experiences and professional advice if it's required. Stick a thread up - "build it and they will come" :D

I spend as much of my free time coming up with ideas for studio furniture as I do making music!

Wow! Great thread, although I decided to bodyswerve the politics and guns...

I'm currently a support worker working with Adults with Learning difficulties and in the evenings I'm a projectionist at a tiny Independent "Arthouse" Cinema and occasionally I work in the various Museums located in my fair town.

However, just this week I have applied to join the Marines.

For a living this year? I designed and maintain multiple websites for a lawyer, and I make all his video "infomercials" for the web and TV. You know, "Have you been hurt in an accident?"... "Have you taken Celebrex and suffered a heat attack?" Personally I find his approach disgusting, like a vulture. I'm just waiting for another project to come along in the meantime.

Sorry, not preaching, but talking so casually about a piece of hardware that can take someones life and destroy a family around them just seems so very wrong.
Nah, I'm from Texas, you get your first gun when you're 7 years old there. Nothing to be frightened of if you respect it's power.
