Geeks riot over $50 used iBooks

Wow.

Maybe it's wrong of me to find this funny...

I'm surprised none of them simply whipped out their dungeons-and-dragons-dice to settle this the "traditional" way

Hell, they could have just stuck to using homemade Star Trek phasers, running around shouting "PYOO-PYOO!!" at each other, or cursing at each other in perfect Klingon.

yeah... maybe it's more sad than funny...

Oops ... I've gotta go.. My 3 week old son is making sounds like a cappucino frother... talk amongst yourselves.

The Henrico County school system was selling 1,000 of the computers to county residents. New iBooks cost between $999 and $1,299.
For 50 bucks? I think this was pretty stupid on the part of the school system. What did they expect.

They should have set up some sort of lottery for them, probably by mail.

Deserves a great big D'oh!
