hmm, dificult to say. there are to many out there. in germany the beer taste is diferent from the north to the south. i prefer the south-style more sweeter bavarian beer, but i live more in the north in berlin where people drink becks and berliner pilsener which are like the behringers of german beer.... the best trans-regional beer is radeberger and paulaner, but the very best you find in the small local breweries...my tip is to find some real czeq beer they make the best in the world, germany second best.

Fuller's London Pride and ESB. Smithwick's, Sam Adams, Stella, Sierra Pale Ale, oh man, soooo many.
And I have to say- on a hot sweaty day an ice cold Rolling Rock goes down real nice.

I have an Aussie pal who says American Beer is like making love in a rowboat. Its f*cking close to water!

Commercial stuff... (?) I'm kinda partial to Paulaner Dunkel-Wiess though the Hefe-wiess will do quite nicely in a pinch.

Other than the occasional bottle of "store bought" beer I'm pretty dedicated to the stuff I brew myself though... enjoying a half liter of some seriously smooooooooth home brewed stout as we speak (type?)... ...

I'm a larger man so;

Steinlarger, Lowenbrau, Carlton Cold, Grolch, Budvar

And I'll also stick my neck out / swim against the tide and say I reguarly enjoy beers from North America (and some equally untrendy beer places). How about: Micalob, Labatts, Miller, Corona, and Sapporo, Pironi

yay beer

Guinness extra stout
Blue Moon Belgian wheat
Anchor Steam
Samuel Smith pale ale

Sure- I get that on a regular basis but dont count it among the favorites I listed.... It IS a mighty good beer though- Years ago the very first keg I bought legally was a keg of Yeungling Porter for my 21st birthday party..... Fond fuzzy memories..... heh

I guess its one of the few original american breweries that's not bottling **** water and lableing it beer .
Im sure there are alot of magical small breweries in europe man Id go nuts over there . I did the home brew thing for a couple years and it was great . Besides a few gems , I could never break the home brew taste .

I'm an India Pale Ale guy; my current favorite is Brooklyn Breweries IPA, though Harpoon IPA comes in as a close second. And Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA is some of the most heavenly brew I've ever tasted, but ya can't really drink more than one...
