The subtle rise of "chill" EDM into mass media

Stop writing and releasing yo' cheesy '80s-retro-Top-Gun-meets-Vanglis' crap. The market has moved on. Chill EDM is where it's all at.[1][2][3]

[1] https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/new...undtrack-list/ (San Holo and Illenium snuck in, wow!!!)

[2] Just kidding. Just having some fun. I grew up in the 80's and love all those old records, but am finding when I listen to those releases as well as current releases that are "inspired" by that era in popular music, I get the same cringe feelings I get when I was a teenager and was forced to watch Bob Hope and Frank Sinatra movies with my parents. The crooner music was completely out of step with what was happening in early to mid 80s. As was the music of BoneyM and Abba.

[3] Tom Cruise is hitting 60s and Kenny Loggins in over 70! Wow!
