Recording Is First And Foremost An Art, Followed By A Science

For anyone who wants to and does make music, you as a recording artist are to bring the art, by way of your voice e.g. experimenting w/different inflections, accents (natural and/or contrived), tone, pitch, etc. and that is your main responsibility.

Leave the science of the well placed voice you are to develop w/the mixing and mastering engineer(s).

Every idea you record is a window into you and your thoughts, turned into something hopefully sonically pleasing.

Santana once told trey that when he gets on stage to perform, he tries his very best to be the 'hose'.

The music/creativity is the water.
The Musician is the hose.
The audience is the Garden.
