Incandescent is warmer than fluorescent, everyone knows that! But it's OK if you're using fluorescent, as long as you're not one of those bedroom warriors with LEDs.

3.

One to put in the new lightbulb, and 2 to complain that it isn't as warm as the old one.

New light bulbs look cold and lack character. You need to find an old one from 1979. Nothing beats the warmth and clarity of those. Everything produced since is just emulation.

You could do it yourself, but only if you have some soldering skills. I always use a tech, just to be safe. Oh, and don't get fooled by .99 bulbs on eBay!

Lightbulbs are overhyped anyway on this forum. I prefer darkness.

Sure, you can change the lightbulb, but then you won't be able to claim your room is authentically vintage anymore...

it's hard for me to believe that "skrillex" and "lightbulb" can be used in the same gearslutz inquiry

if you feel you need to change your lightbulb,

you should first check your room's walls' paint and surface: bad refraction could be the real culprit for lack of light

Sorry, we're too busy figuring out what to do after detuning two oscillators.

George was sitting in his bunker, a lightbulb flickered wildly overhead, casting twisted shadows over the floor, "that'll need changing", he thought

Suddenly a loud bang echoed through the chamber, and the door slowly opened, a beautiful, scantily glad Russian spy stood there, was she sent here to kill him? Or maybe seduce him and turn him into a traitor?

At that moment, looking up at the lightbulb, he wasn't sure whether he needed a screw or whether should reach for the bayonet.

Little lightbulb humour for ya

10,002:

1 to change the light bulb.
100 to use the studio.
900 to buy a new piece of gear.
9,000 to talk about buying a new piece of gear.
1 to finish a track.
