I work security at a gate house for one of those classy residential areas that's mostly empty because of the economy. So essentially I'm getting paid to spend eight hours a day goofing off on the intertubes. Not exactly a dream job, but health/psych issues rob me of the motivation to go to school and do something slightly more entertaining with my life. Is it sad that I actually dream of becoming a beautician? heh

your best bet is to phone the switchboard number (get it off the lambeth website) and ask for the private tenancy team, good luck!
Lol... thanks for the response!

Yeah... I know how it's supposed to happen... tbh, I gave up on this one about a year & a half ago. Hitting my head against a brick wall... but I think she's just a bit tardy rather than malicious.

By day I work the deli at a grocery store because thats what all the cool people do.

By night, I'm batman, I mean a musician.

I really need to get going on some sort of schooling. I was thinking Graphic Design because I'm good at it and took a four year course in high school, I even won several awards. One of them was a check for $150, which all went towards my band.....But it doesn't seem to be such a striving career at the moment, seeing as how I live in the U.S. and our economy isn't doing to well. So I figured maybe I'll do some electrical, but I haven't completely decided yet. You think once you've been out of high school for a while you'd be able to nail down something you want to do.

Im an architect. Checkout some work at Donovan Hill the website is pretty old now, but the new cooler version is up for alpha testing here Donovan Hill

Architecture is a great parallel for music. Alot of the ideas are similar. Space, structure, density, contrast etc. And i actually get paid to do it unlike my first passion that just costs money

Oh hey, thank you very much! Truly

Yes, a new film called "Fear Itself" is in the works (a very twisted "Jacob's Ladder" type of movie, we shall see).

Meanwhile, I may do an episode or two of a show called "Burn Notice."

I appreciate the kind words, thank you!

Thumbs up The same way to Carnegie Hall, ha!

To Rushton (sorry, I messed up the Quote function. I'm a dork!)

A lot of people do the film school thing, but to be honest, just getting out there and doing it is the best route there is (even lo-fi or indie... and just working in the biz in various depts is good)

For me, I did both the music school and film school gig at the same time and was just about to do the whole Industrial Light & Magic thing out of school (which would have been good for both areas), when I got drafted by the Nike folks... meaning it paid slightly more than Top Romen heh

From there, I kept at it and hounded Nike (and then adidas) to let me direct various projects, one good one turned into a next and so on... that led to more and other commercial work, then a SuperBowl spot, then two and that starts to get the Hollyweird crowd's attention and there you have it.

Sort of... ha!

Ok, that makes it sound waaaay to simple and truth is, I have to work hard at it every day, I've far from "made it" and am just working to still establish myself. So, take it for what its worth, but I'm no expert.

Hope that answers the question while not sounding too me me me heh

I'll let you know for sure. Could be fun.

At the moment, I'm working on a cool piece for the show for this new season, a sort of teaser, fun concept too, loads of explosions, ha! Love to know what you think of it when it airs and I'll let you know about any upcoming episodes.

Thanks!

First, Ha! Too damn funny. (We'll keep that among us heh ... and no, she isn't, so far, casting still to happen. But, I agree)

To the second comment, did you see that hilarious SNL skit a few weeks ago called "What IS Burn Notice?" Hilarious, you'd appreciate it if you like the show.

And yeah, I think that show looks pretty good and to be fair, Erika can be quite good in the right roles (Swim Fan, not so much heh)

She's a good person though and very dedicated.

Nick Stahl is a brilliant actor, btw.

And believe it or not Gavin Rosedale is a FANTASTIC actor and person. (Love to do another film with him, I can do much better with him, I believe)

Well I latched on to it because I like Peter Krause. Ever since Sports Night and Six Feet Under, I've been a fan of his, but everything he's done since then seems to get canceled, so we'll see how this one goes. Its got a pretty recognizable cast with him, Erika, Craig T Nelson and Lauren Graham among others. But, hey, welcome to network TV, right?

Totally agree, I really like his work (Peter Krause) and he chooses great material. I mean, Sports Night has to be one of THE greatest shows to ever get cancelled (but I'm partial to Aaron Sorkin's writing!)

You got it, my pleasure

Wouldn't it be cool when I finish this next monster if we could arrange for a Gearslutz Electronica forum screening and actually all get together? (, ok, maybe a little hippie, but it'd be great!)

A thought, anyway.

And thanks again!

Self-employed artist and statue/awards manufacturer. I do my own originals, make my own molds, and basically do what I want to do, or custom make what someone else wants. The last year has been incredibly hard and I lost a majority of my studio simply so I could pay the bills. The last month has been busier than I've ever been, so I hope it keeps up. I sell to several chains, but I also do work for museums, the FBI, Secret Service, and all branches of the military. I recently acquired a real human skull, and I made a mold off of it. I'm going to paint them up and start a new line of Dia de los Muertos inspired work. While sometimes I do get stuck working twelve hour days, most of the time I get up when I want, work about six hours, then have the rest of the time off for music and my fine art painting.
