I totally agree! I dont meditate that often at the moment but practice mindfulness as much as possible. Do you have any recommendations of places I can get great backing music for meditation? Or short clips I can use for tutorial CDs? I dont really want to spend the time making it myself and I sometimes work for a client mixing and putting together mediation tutorial CDs....

Chalk up another architect. It must be that combo of art and the technical side of things.

There is a new gear shop on Coldharbour Lane (just around the corner from the station)... but it's not got much stuff on offer (no idea how it survives in this day & age when even the likes of Turnkey & Sound Control had to close up shop)... I tend to end up going to Digital Village in Clapham.

If only there was a shop full of cheap 80's Roland gear on my doorstep :-(
Yeah, thats where it was. It might have been called BEM (Brixton exchange Mart, I think?) 2 guys behind a counter. Used synths and drum machine everywhere. Nothing like that these days. <sigh>

Funny same here. TCM grad from PCOM san diego. I also don't like bad healing arts music. I just stick on low key acoustic guitar.

Congrats! Make an effort to step back and enjoy it. As busy and pressured as you'll feel, you'll still have the time of your life. (man I sound old and I'm not...really) I just wished I made more of those days lol.

Another graphic designer here, seems to be a very common combination in edm. Do a bit of djing and lecturing/teaching about production on the side when I can get it.
