Don't have 5 at the moment, but have 2 ...

1) The next Nikon midrange DSLR (the D90 successor) if it has video capabilities on par with the Canon 550D (it had better!!!)

2) The Blackberry 9100 (Pearl 3G) - which as of now RIM has said they are not bringing to the UK at all... FAIL. Hope they change their minds. The 9105's keyboard layout (9 keys!!) is teh suck.

- a new TV. Me and my housemates are currently listening on Rotel/B&W 5.1 surround sound, but watching on a rubbish little 17" Philips LCD (which really is dire).
- iPad - god I want one of those things badly. Such a nice piece of kit to use.
- iPhone 4 - makes my 3GS look a bit silly IMO.
- A really, really nice pair of passive speakers to match with my B&O Beomaster 4400 (which is a stunningly good amp).
- A nice camera - something like a Canon EOS 500D

I am easy & my lust for gadgets and gear are more utilitarian now, but this is what I'd like & need.
1 - New Phone: Most likely the HTC Evo, I'd get the iPhone, but AT&T is awfull.
2 - Nice 3 Room Speaker System: Linkable to my music library
3 - Juicer: One that can fit a fat carrot and a whole apple, but hopefull not my hand. Grind!
4 - Small HD Video Camera: Nothing fancy. Maybe something like the Canon EOS line once they can record video over 12 minutes.
5 - 4 Track Portable Recorder: Decent internal mics and a good stereo line in for live show to get the mix & the crowd. The smaller the better.

3) Remote-controlled UFO.
4) Touch screen mixing desk (for Record w/choice of virtual mix buses)
5) Speaker-modelling headphone amplifier.

Hmm I don't seem to have the craving for those 'modern' I-thing gadgets,
No I-pod/I-Phone/I-Pad etc... gadgets here, don't even have a cellphone heh

Like the what are you charging thread Jules started... I get crazy if I woud have 5 gadgets that need portable power. Right now I only have a canon 450D that needs charging, all the rest is hooked to the walls. Peace of Mind I call that

Sorry continue with the lists.

Tom Tom GPS now has Star Wars voice-pak options, including Darth Vader, C3PO and Yoda.

Apple has a new 9.7" iPad in the works for Q1 2011 with camera and Facetime, plus mini USB and gyroscope for gaming.

Breville makes the best juicers for men, IMHO, 'cause the stainless steel models are built like a German tank, come apart in just 3 pieces and clean up by simply turning them under running water. I recommend the 800JEXL model

Leave it to Gearslutz, we were just discussing a new juicer and wondering what to get. This one looks awesome and the reviews were quite good as well.

I had a Jack LaLane Pro model but it was always a pain to clean. We're gonna give one of these a try.

Juice Rules!

The problem I have with Jack LaLane products is that he is a spokesperson, not a manufacturer. And the money they have to pay him leaves less money in the actual product.

Life has taught me that the old adage "No one was ever sorry they bought the best" is true. I absolutely loved the 1989 Mercedes 560 SEL I bought used off of eBay - I flew out to Chicago to pick it up and drove it home to New Jersey, loving every mile.

Although the iPhone is not perfect, I have owned every model since they came out and they are most definitely best-in-class. I've owned 7 PC laptops and 5 Mac laptops since 1987, and my MacBook Pro 15" unibody model is the best I've ever owned, I'm 100% happy with it.

As for Breville, I have their juicer, their citrus press (which makes for killer fresh-squeezed Mimosas and the best margaritas you've ever tasted), their triple-decker steamer (makes awesome veggies, rice, and oatmeal) and their LCD Blender, which has a "Smoothie" preset that automatically steps through gears and modes to make a perfect smoothie from ice cubes and fruit/fruit juice. Note to gearslutz members who have ladies in their lives - Hansen makes an Organic Coconut/Pineapple 100% Juice drink that you can get at most supermarkets in the states. Pour half a bottle into a crushed-ice filled blender, add 1/4 blender container of Coconut Rum (m'lady prefers Cruzan to Malibu) and blend (or press "Smoothie" button on the Breville), and you've got a perfect Pina Coloda - what could be easier?

Anyway - the Breville company, based in Australia, consistently makes what I consider best-in-class when it comes to appliances. Their products aren't cheap, but we gearslutz are used to that! This is definitely a case of you get what you pay for, and I'd rather buy it right once, than have to buy it again.

Case in point - I just replaced my second(!) Keurig B70 coffee maker in the office with a Breville model - kudos to Keurig for being smart enough to license 3rd party manufacturing (I saw a Cuisinart model at Macy's), thus making K-cups an industry standard. If Breville follows their historical pattern, this one should last a good long time.

End of commercial
