Really sad to hear. Aside from seeing the Go-Betweens a few times I saw him play with Steve Kilbey as Jack Frost at Wetlands here years ago - it was an amazing show.

The Go-Betweens were, and still are, one of my favourite bands. I'm pretty bummed out about this :(

That's incredibly sad news. One of my favourite bands ever, I saw them countless times throughout my teens. I even persuaded an artist I was working with a few years ago to put a cover of Quiet Heart on her album.

A great loss.

Quiet Heart is a lovely little song. Care to tell us who she is?

That Grant died.
I had the pleasure of engineering a gig of his in Sydney way back when.
Was never my sort of music really, but he was a talent for sure.

Unhappy Grant Mclelland (Go Betweens) dies @ 48

Grant MClelland of the Go Betweens died in his sleep of a heart attack the other night. He was 48. The band was embarking on an Oz tour. He will be sadly missed.

Everyone here is in shock.

I didn't know Grant very well, but I do know that he was very highly regarded as an artist and a human being. Definitely one of the greatest songwriters this country has produced.

Grant McLennan RIP ( The Go-Betweens)

Just heard that Grant McLennan, co-founder of Brisbane band The Go-Betweens died in his sleep last Saturday of a heart attack at his home in Brisbane, he was 48 y/o, it makes you think, doesn't it.

He is, I'm sure a talent that will be missed.

He will be sorely missed by a lot of people in this city, and his fans and friends all around the world.

I get the feeling though, that his will be a legacy that only grows with time.
