My first real mic preamp was a brent averill 1073 with the pig tails, incredible sound and built like a tank.
I can't believe Mark doesn't have anything up on the BAE website in his honor ?
he schooled him and sold him the company ?
Mark is not the most friendly person though, RIP Brent and thank you

R.I.P. I remember seeing his Ads in the back of Mix Magazine back in the early 90’s when I was just coming out of school. converted to rack Neve and API pre’s. The business grew way bigger than I would have ever guessed.
That was the early days of racking up Mic Pre’s from big consoles. There were a few others doing it at time as well but Brent managed to take it big time.

Crap. I’ve got a Brent Averill dual API 512 mic pre in my rack that is literally the first real mic pre I ever bought. Sorry to hear that. RIP.

I've never had any dealings with Mark, I have no horse in the race. They did make a post about Brent's passing back in August on their Facebook page and it's still pinned.

RIP Brett, what a legacy!!
