Riposi in pace

Although he is most closely associated in the public mind with Leone's westerns starring Eastwood, Morricone's composition for Roland Joffe's Jesuit drama "The Mission" is considered by many critics to be his cinematic masterpiece, an epic and eclectic reflection of South America's musical melting pot.

Sad news indeed ... the end of an era.

He could do more with one instrument than most composers with an entire orchestra.

I'm really devastated by this, and have been listening to his music all day today. A massive influence on me, his music touches me in a way no other composer ever has, and made me cry more times than I can count.

Your music will live on forever, for me one of the greatest composers that ever lived.

Rest In Peace Ennio Morricone. <3

I was born in 1971, Ennio Morricone was the soundtrack of my Childhood.

People on this forum talk Kraftwerk, Bowie etc........Ennio was the best by a long stretch.
