RIP Judy Mareiniss

In memory of Judy Mareiniss, FOH engineer. I met Judy in NY in the late 80s, after she had left as house engineer at CBGBs. Although she had moved on by the time I started working there, I frequently encountered/worked with her when she came in as guest engineer for various bands. She was an immensely talented engineer and incredibly dedicated, I learned much from watching her mix—her attention to detail, microphone placement and room EQing was precise and peerless. Her CV speaks for itself—she was one of NY's finest engineers! Judy was very ill for the past while and we stayed in touch over the years with messages etc. from time-to-time. Here's hoping you are in a better and more peaceful place, Judy!❤️❤️
