Navigating the Studio's cloud opportunity
November 11, 2020 at 11am PT – 30min

Production teams moving to the cloud need to address short-term operational and business goals while also accounting for future needs—which is why studios need to keep abreast of emerging market trends, so they can accelerate their move to the cloud and take full advantage of what the cloud enables.

In this episode Jeff Rosica, CEO and President at Avid and Hanno Basse, CTO at Microsoft Azure Media and Entertainment, will discuss current trends and future technologies that will accelerate the move to the cloud while maximizing efficiency and lowering overall costs.

Post-production workflows with Microsoft Azure
November 18, 2020 at 11am PT – 30min

How are studios scaling cloud-based editing capabilities? This webinar will provide insight on how studios are taking advantage of on-demand services, from compute, storage, and bandwidth, to artificial intelligence and machine learning, content processing, security best practices, and content distribution.

Microsoft's Media Cloud Architect, Scott Bounds and Richard Duke, Chief Cloud Solutions Architect at Avid will discuss how studios are implementing post-production workflows in Azure and delivering enterprise solutions in a virtual desktop environment with Avid Media Composer, Avid MediaCentral, and Avid NEXIS in Azure.

Hyperconverged infrastructures pt 1: Introduction and overview
December 2, 2020 at 11am PT – 30min

So you’ve built out a sophisticated workflow to allow your production teams to create, manage, and deliver content both on-prem and remotely—what next? As post-production studios reopen, broadcasters are continuing to evolve in a new environment. To power greater creators, earlier this year Avid announced its partnership with Nutanix to deliver a software-based approach to deploying hyperconverged (HCI) infrastructures for M&E on-prem and cloud environments.

Hyperconverged infrastructures pt 2: Implementation considerations
December 16, 2020 at 11am PT – 30min

As deployment patterns shift to support increasingly distributed workflows, what are the key considerations studios must make to support hybrid deployed, proven post-production infrastructures?

Hyperconverged infrastructures (HCI) provide a compelling way for studios to address complex deployments with simplified management across servers, storage, and networking to more easily manage the environment that supports mission-critical production applications that can’t afford any downtime. During this webinar, James Irvine, Account Chief Technologist at HPE joins Avid to delve into the different established reference architectures that studios can take advantage of when considering HCI solutions for their production environments.
