The Fizmo and Fizmo Rack are 48 voice polyphonic synthesizers, using a propriety Ensoniq wavetable synthesis called Transwaves. These consist of sound data with layered variations in harmonic structure, allowing modulation. Per sound there are four presets with each 2 oscillators, LFO, and noise generators. The four presets can be layered or mapped across the keys. It has a capable arpeggiator with 118 presets which can be edited on the fly. All controls are midi mapped. There was a batch which had a bad voltage regulator (keyboard only) which has to be replaced, before it destroys the motherboard.
