Yep, it's pretty much a lock at this point. Eager to see which products get updates.

It's about time. I remember doing their survey where they were asking questions about keyboards/controllers. I think that was in 2012? Glad to see it's coming around finally.

So maybe Maschine type control over Kontakt/absynth? That might be interesting.

Wonder if they'll have a good upgrade offer including these new keyboards... I'm still on Komplete 6, so I guessI'll be upgrading this time.

So the big question is, what will the screens be like?

That's what I presume will set them apart from other things on the market.

Though I suppose they could sell them based on their ease of use with Maschine Studio.

But will these keyboards have tight integration with Maschine's workflow?

I wonder this because I don't see Maschine mentioned in the bundle deals.

Every song that I make doesn't involve Komplete... but every song I make "does" involve Maschine. So I would get a lot more use out of a keyboard controller that was first geared toward integrating with Maschine... and then secondly also working with Komplete.

But the flip side of that is... there's probably a lot more people who use Komplete but don't use Maschine... so I guess it makes more sense for the Keyboard to be geared more toward Komplete instead of Maschine.

We'll just have to wait and see.

But on a second look the keyboard might quite expensive: 1,198 for K10 and the 61 keys model, 1098 for 49 keys.

That is a 600-500 USD for a controller, it has to be mighty good: screens, tons of knobs super keybed and performance options.

Wouldn't it be funny if the "Kontrol" keyboard is the Korg Kontrol and not a keyboard made by Native instruments. I don't think it's Korg though... the prices are to high.

Native instrument has "Kontrol" controllers also...

Yeah, at first I was thinking it was about the same as Live + Push, but there's only one version of Push, the price from there depends on which version of Live you want. And it can go from a 64-note "keybed" to a drum machine with a sequencer in a flash.

But hell, with the Maschine Studio, NI showed they weren't afraid of putting out expensive and flashy controllers. I'm hoping this will be more than a cheap-feeling keyboard with the NI logo on it.

I wonder if the keyboards will look anything like that Maschine Studio keyboard photoshop?

Maybe the Maschine Studios screens and jog wheel will make it to the Kontrol keyboard?

I dont think it will compete with maschine at all.

I am betting on a good number of knobs and screens.

I'm hyped. I need a controller keyboard and I'd be willing to offload my Virus TI Keyboard and shift down to a desktop Virus.

^ That looks pretty. Curious about how functional it is. Maschine is pretty brilliant. If they're able to do anything similar with keys, it'll be amazing.

Also SUPER curious if we'll see Reaktor 6 soon, or possibly Massive 2

Dissapointed I expected way more controls for the price, the display is nice but why only 8 controls? every controller has 8.

On the other had it does have performing features. Would be nice to know how well it integrates with third party vst's-

it seems the kb will have a step sequencer since it has transport controls.

if komplete 10 is $500, then S25 would be $500, S49 $600, S61 $700, seems quite expensive to me. I bought my SL61 MKII for $500. You can only get a 25 key kb for the same price if you go NI. I would be more interested in a controller only version without the keys.

It does seem to have proper integration with Komplete - which is less likely to befall a fate like Kore because it's actually content instead of a host.

If the keyboard quality is up to snuff, I'm all ears.

Wishful thinking but likely not. Transport controls on controllers are commonplace.

Surprised by the lack of screen, but at least they went with virtual scribble strips under the row of knobs.

And what kind of synth is Rounds?

Wow, FINALLY. A keyboard by Native Instruments.
Hoping for the first real good quality keybed on the controller market, though Novation and Akai MPK 2xx come close.

And finally NI are aiming towards classic keys-playing producers again, it was about time after all the focus on Maschine and Traktor lately.
There's more in music than beats.

No new versions of the flagship apps.. some new pianos and a few reaktor ensembles.. And who doesn't already have a MIDI keyboard?
Still no reason to go komplete for me..
