Any Prophet VS users around? Have you ever heard of a problem with the VS where the waveform joystick isn't working?
A VS is the newest addition to my workshop and it sound every bit as marvelous as it's legend claims however the joystick doesn't do any change to the sounds. Does it mean it's broken? If so, can it be repaired (hopefully home-repaired)? Or am I missing a key detail somewhere to enable the vector joystick?
I'm not sure if the 'stick' has anything to do with it. How could it interfere with the functionality of the waveform mix? I mean, to me it looks like this is mechanically/electronically taken care of by the metal ball. Maybe I should open the VS and check if there's anything suspicious in the joystick area.

You mean you never had the need to use it? I don't know. Sure, he VS sounds already great without using the vector stick but it would be nice to hear the waveforms morphing.
This was rather easy to do! I opened up the VS and the joystick uses two metal rails underneath that are used to adjust the vector. The problem was simply that the stick wasn't inside the two rails and so had no effect.
So once you remove the stick, it's likely that the vector joystick doesn't work because when inserting you're not hitting the right spot between the two rails.
Now I only have to find a way to fix the stick so it cannot be removed easily.
