Thinking of buying shadowhills equinox...

And was wondering if I could use part of it as sort of a poor mans analog mixer and what would be the best way to do that. Dsub > patchbay?? I only have 6 available outputs from my audio interface and would like to use a good potion of the rest of the inputs for tracking outboard synth and FX. I know it would be summed at the output but I would only be recording one input at a time.
