FRONT 242 DRUMS AND PERCUSSION

Hello Everybody !

I wanted to ask if anybody knew what drum machines were used with the early stuff of Front 242. They sound like the same electronic drums that are on all of the Janet Jackson albums and of course other electronic artists ( skinny puppy, depeche mode, Front Line Assembly).

Your input is appreciated !

Look at any of the drum machines out at that time.

Yamaha RX-5
Roland DDR-30, TR808, 909, R8, etc.
Emu SP1200
Sequential Studio 440

And as already noted alot of custom samples though the likes of the Emu Emax, Akai S1100, etc as well as percussive sounds made from analog synth's.

I just recently sold my Yamaha RY-30, but that thing had old school industrial down to a science. (Think SP-Mind/Ministry-Twitch)

Hope this helps.

I have a Korg M1R only for those early-EBM drums and the house bass organ.
